Humane Maximum-Strength 10% Acne Wash

Formulated with 10% benzoyl peroxide, this potent face and body cleansing treatment targets the two primary causes of acne: bacteria growth and excessive oil production. A mild topical antibiotic, the active ingredient delivers oxygen into the pores, creating an inhospitable environment for breakout-causing P. acnes bacteria to thrive. It also strips away the follicle-clogging dead skin cells and sebum, preventing future flare-ups.

Once or twice daily, apply an even layer of Humane Acne Wash to damp skin and gently massage into the affected areas. Let solution sit on skin for 1 minute initially, and gradually increase to 2-3 minutes if you aren’t seeing results. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Follow with Humane Oil-Free Moisturizer and a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen if going outdoors.

Note:

  • Humane Acne Wash is not for sensitive skin. We recommend testing one or two small, affected areas for three days to check for unusual sensitivity prior to beginning treatment.
  • Additional acne, irritation/redness and dryness are common early side effects of benzoyl peroxide. If excessive flaking or peeling occurs, reduce frequency of application and/or the time product stays on skin before rinsing.
  • Benzoyl peroxide is a bleaching agent. Use old (or white) washcloths, towels and sheets for the duration of your treatment. Wash hands thoroughly after using and be careful of contact with hair, shirts and even bath mats.
